Farm Flea - Fabulous!
Good clean vintage fun
The First Goose Prairie Farm Flea Market
What a great day it was! September 28, 2024 started out drizzly, a little chilly, but soon became the perfect bright end-of-September fall Humboldt day, just right for our first-ever Farm Flea Market at Goose Prairie Farm.
On offering was diverse vintage bounty, from clothing to china to antique furniture, to Halloween decor, to farm items, to wood items to glass items, to garden treasures, to textiles (feed sacks, quilts, linens), to an old wood-burning stove and a galvanized bathtub.

Also, market hunters found sporting goods - like fishing gear, surf boards, bikes, beach chairs, car-top storage. Even a spear gun!
Then the just plain fun-and-quirky: antlers, baskets, hides, interior decor (current and cute furniture, rugs, carved wall art, etc), wire baskets at 3-for-a dollar, plenty of books, and all the great miscellaneous stuff you don’t know you need until you see it.
Bring a basket for all your finds.
The Goose Prairie Farmstand was open for business simultaneously, so shoppers had a two-fer: food and flea! Actually, a three-fer, because flowers, too!
The sellers sold, the buyers bought, and the community as a whole had a really great time. Every one of the sellers wants to come back to sell again, which says a lot, and many of the shoppers want to join in and get a space next time, too. We all want to shop, for sure!
It was the first, but definitely not the last: we are already planning for the next one: June, 2025, exact date TBD. Make sure you are signed up for the newsletter to get updates, and first crack at the seller space you want.
Great morning for a hot cup of coffee.
Spotted: Mrs.S and Mrs B.
Cody barely had a chance to unload as the shoppers were very eager for all his goodies.
That was fun! Let’s do it again!!!
